He gals!
I cannot believe I really started sewing my own wardrobe today, not the sewing part, mind. Because I'm a lazy bum mostly, but today was just right, I suppose.
Since brand won't fit my wonderful rubenesque body and I wouldn't want to spend the money and worry anyway, I made my own bloomer pattern.
I made it going after
feorag's bloomer pattern and tut found in the search on egl. I went as far as drawing the basic shape on plastic film (for covering furniture while painting a room) without adding the crotch curves, as I was sure the normal measurements given there wouldn't fit. I picked a fitting pant and drew curves copying from them (by putting one leg into the other you get better access to the inner curve and putting it under the film saved it from getting stains from the marker) I drew the crotch curve slightly larger, singe the pant is close fitting.
I cut out the pattern and taped together the straight inner leg seams, to try the fit.
With the definately larger curves (larger than intended from the original tutorial) the pattern now fit relatively well, but there was no room to get some gathering around the hips (I am totally sure, for normal proportionened girls the pattern would be really well and suitable). I might say around the hips it fitted, but loosely.
I now cut through the side seam, indicated by the pattern ( points a -b) and added a new cut strip of film to widen the bloomer pattern.
Now the pattern is finished and I will start making a pyjama set from that. That way I can test out the pattern for real bloomers without having to throw the work away because it's not good enough/too bulky/whatever to be worn outside, even under a skirt/dress.

Lolita-item - black hairband with little bow
May. 5th, 2008 | 11:58 am
Hey gals!
Today I found a really neat litte hairband. And it was cheap, too. The bow is kinda tiny, I know, but I'm not going to wear anything much bigger at the moment. Remember I just startet Loli at all, so going on a slow gear is good.
Also I figure I could take this hairband and if I make clothes could make a matching bow and just slide it on.
I'm really excited as this is the first hairband since 1994.

Thanks for coming!
Visit again soon....bye bye

Loli wall embellishment - any ideas?

confused
I have a new sewing space and I wondered what on earth could I hang up above my working table? I was going to paint a nice big picture, but what kind of motif should there be? Loli-themed of course, but what?
Our new bedroom is going to be cream x dusty pink or cream x raspberry with maybe accents of gold.
I am totally unsure! What would you put up? My partner is extremely tolerant what I put up there, so there are no obstacles.
Oh, and I am not a "sweet" Loli person, more a classical type.
I looked at istockphoto.com and deviantart, but nothing jumped out to me. Maybe I wasn't using the right kind of search words?
Any help, any doodle, photo, image. Anything inspiring is apreciated greatly!
